First Aid

| First Aid at Work (HSE Approved) This course is ideal for nominated first aiders in the workplace, or anyone requiring comprehensive first aid training, providing the skills to deal with first aid emergencies. |

| Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE Approved) This course is recommended for nominated emergency first aiders, in workplaces with lower health and safety risks. It is also ideal for anyone requiring a thorough one-day First Aid course. |

| First Aid at Work Requalification (HSE Approved) This course is a requalification for current holders of the First Aid at Work certificate, updating their skills to deal with first aid emergencies. |

| Basic Life Support - Sports Injuries This course is designed for those working within a sports environment, or undertaking sports as a leisure pursuit in their spare time. The course covers Basic Life Support but is also tailored to deal with sports injuries. |

| Paediatric First Aid - 12 hour This course is designed for those working or volunteering in the childcare sector - from childminders to nursery and crèche workers. Our course is approved by the National Childminding Association. |

| Paediatric First Aid - 1 day This one day course is suitable for those involved in Childcare, such as parents, grandparents and guardians of children who would like to develop their skills in dealing with an emergency. This course does not cover the breadth of topics that are covered by the 12 hour course. |

Food Safety

| Fundamentals of Food Hygiene The course is suitable for anyone who handles food, including the general public, and is particularly suitable for those working in kitchens or undertaking frontline duties in preparing, processing or retailing food. |

| Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering This Level 3 qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, supervisors of food handlers within the catering and hospitality industry. Holders will gain a broad knowledge of food safety and food hygiene, enabling them to identify problem areas and recommend solutions. |

Licensing/Door Supervisor/SIA

| National Certificate for Door Supervisors If you want to work as a door supervisor in England and Wales, you need to have a licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), which was set up by the UK Government to regulate the private security industry, including door supervision. Without a licence, you cannot legally work on the door of licensed premises. |

| National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (NCPLH) Licensing law in England and Wales states that anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. Those who wish to obtain a personal licence need to apply to their local authority. Applicants will be asked for a number of things to support their application; these will include proof that they hold a licensing qualification such as this one - the BIIAB NCPLH. |

Child Protection

| Recognising Indicators This course is designed as an awareness level course and explores staff responsibilities in respect of child protection; including understanding possible indicators and knowing what to do if they have suspicions or experience 'disclosure'. The course also considers the 'referral' process to other agencies and likely staff involvement throughout. |
