National Certificate for Door Supervisors - BIIAB Level 2
Who should attend this course?
If you want to work as a door supervisor in England and Wales, you need to have a licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), which was set up by the UK Government to regulate the private security industry, including door supervision. Without a licence, you cannot legally work on the door of licensed premises.
To get an SIA licence you will need to satisfy three requirements:
- pass an identity check,
- pass a criminal records check, and,
- possess a recognised door supervisor qualification

Course delivery
The course is delivered in a classroom environment. Completion of the course is subject to two formal examinations at the end of the final day. Successful candidates will achieve a qualification that is recognised by the SIA when you apply for a licence and is accredited by QCA.
Course duration
30 hours split over 4 days
